The Kenyan government seized ivory estimated to be worth millions of shillings at Mombasa port Tuesday (July 2nd), Kenya's Daily Nation reported.

The ivory, believed to be from Uganda, was snuck into the country at the Malaba crossing and hidden in a container at the Changamwe private warehouse from June 12th until last Friday.

Deputy Commissioner of Port Operations John Changole confirmed the incident. No arrest has yet been made.

More than six other containers believed to be in transit between Malaba and the Kenya Ports Authority are being traced.
