The Djiboutian Ministry of Health launched a nationwide measles vaccination campaign in schools on Saturday (November 10th), Djibouti's La Nation reported.
The campaign, sponsored by the World Health Organisation and the United Nations Children's Fund, will continue through Wednesday. It is part of a larger initiative to eradicate measles from Djibouti by 2015, and a response to the measles epidemic that was declared in Djibouti this year.
All children in Djibouti between the ages of six and 14 will receive free vaccinations under the programme, including children who have already been vaccinated.
