Mudug Governor Mohamed Yusuf Jama said security has been restored in the region with the assistance of additional police officers from Garowe, UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported Thursday (September 6th).

Mudug, which is under the Puntland regional administration, has seen a dramatic drop in killings, robberies and bombings with the increased police presence, Jama said.

The police force was augmented after Jama signed an agreement with the Galmudug administration to co-operate on security.
