Kenyatta National Hospital has appealed for an increase in blood donations to save six victims who sustained serious injuries in Sunday's Garissa church attacks, Kenya's The Standard reported Monday (July 2nd).
The hospital is treating seven victims of Sunday's attacks -- four women and three men. At least 16 people were killed in the attacks, and dozens were wounded.
"We urgently need blood supplies since six of the patients will have to undergo surgical operations," said the hospital's CEO Richard Lesiyampe. "We urge Kenyans to step forward and donate blood to help their fellow citizens."
"We are doing everything possible to restore the health of the patients," Lesiyampe said.

new law on terrorism should be enforced. Terrorists should not be released on bond and should be charged as murders. Imagine 17 people killed, and when the terrorists are arrested, released on bond they definately go back and continue terrorising innocent kenyans. the law should be reviewed and be given first priority in our parliament.
