The Holl-Holl refugee camp has reopened in Djibouti to relieve crowding in the Ali Addeh camp, Djibouti's official paper La Nation reported on Wednesday (June 13th).

The Holl-Holl camp in the Ali-Sabieh region has already transferred nearly 930 people from 180 Somali families. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees requested the re-opening of the camp, which is also expected to take in refugees fleeing violence in southern and central Somalia.

The UN agency rehabilitated the camp, renovating the food-storage warehouse, upgrading the water-distribution network and building a health clinic, primary school, latrines and offices.

Djibouti currently hosts nearly 20,000 refugees and asylum seekers.
