Seven men were being questioned on Monday (June 4th) by Kenya's Anti-Terrorism Police Unit for a third straight day, after they were arrested on Saturday for photographing planes at Nairobi's Wilson Airport.
Police are questioning the suspects to determine their motive for photographing the planes, Nairobi deputy police chief Moses Ombati said, according to Africa Review.
Kenyan law stipulates that suspects should be arraigned in court within 24 hours of their arrest, but police have not said why the suspects have been detained so long without arraignment.
Two of the suspects are from Somalia. Police said they claimed to be tourists photographing the local wildlife, though their mobile phones had images of the planes and the airport.
