The Kenyan government will pay the hospital bills of those injured in Monday's explosion on Moi Avenue in Nairobi, Prime Minister Raila Odinga said on Tuesday (May 29th).

"We wish those who were injured quick recovery, [as well as] those who lost property in the explosion," Odinga said, according to Kenya's Capital FM News. "I have given an undertaking that the government is going to meet all the expenses for all those who were injured in the blast."

Odinga called on Kenyans to report any tips or information regarding the explosion, and urged citizens to give the police time to investigate the blast.

"These are criminal files which remain open indefinitely," Odinga said. "The mere fact that the criminals are not produced today does not mean that they cannot be produced tomorrow. It is not a question of hours or days, there is a determination to get to the root of the matter."

Police on Tuesday evening said they are searching for two suspects in connection with the attack and released the photograph of Emra Erdogan, who is believed to be a German or Turkish national, police spokesman Eric Kiraithe said.

"Emrah Erdogan is believed to have entered Kenya through Garissa from Somalia on May 3rd and probably is still in the country," Kiraithe said. "Any person with information should provide the same to the nearest police station."

Kenyatta National Hospital has discharged 23 of the 38 people wounded in Monday's blast, while one has been transferred to Nairobi Hospital.
