A delegation of eight ministers from Mozambique and South Africa met with Somali Prime Minister Abdiweli Mohamed Ali on Thursday (May 10th) in Mogadishu, UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported.
During the meeting, the ministers reportedly discussed relations between their countries and Somalia. Ali said afterwards that Somalia needs assistance to end the political turmoil in Somalia.
South African Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Jeffrey Thamsanqa Radebe led the delegation. He said the aim of their trip was to show support for the Transitional Federal Government and the Somali people. Radebe highlighted South Africa's recent pledge of $12.7 million to support the Somali government in rebuilding its institutions.
