Several victims of the Dhusamareb suicide bombing on Tuesday were flown to Ethiopia for treatment, with others are scheduled to go to Nairobi, UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported on Wednesday (May 2nd).
The victims are said to be in serious condition after the suicide bombing at a restaurant where local lawmakers were meeting with citizens. A chartered plane flew the injured from Guri El to Addis Ababa, said District Commissioner Osman Isse Noor.
Former Information Minister Ahmed Abdisalan and parliamentarians Hussein Samatar and Abdirizak Isaac Biihi are among the wounded being treated in Ethiopia.
Five other victims will be airlifted to Nairobi for treatment.
