Elders in the Gedo region of south-west Somalia are calling for urgent humanitarian assistance, UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported on Monday (April 23rd).
Muhumed Ali, an elder in Beled Hawo town, told the radio station that the areas of Jiracle, Kamaro Kof and Tula Amin are in need of immediate assistance, as food shortages are leaving many local residents hungry.
