Two more victims from Wednesday's suicide bomber attack at the National Theatre in Mogadishu died over the weekend from their wounds, raising the death toll to six, Somalia's Garowe Online reported on Sunday (April 8th).
Parliamentarian Mowlid Ma'aney Mohamud and Faisal Haji Elmi, an advisor to Prime Minister Abdiweli Mohamed Ali, passed away in the Aga Khan hospital in Nairobi, where they were transferred for medical care following their stays at Somalia's Medina Hospital.
On Sunday, Ali released a statement of condolences to the victims' families calling the attack despicable, the news agency reported. "Faisal was dedicated to improving and sustaining this government and I hope God will grant him paradise," the statement said.
Similarly, parliamentarians expressed their condolences to the family of their fallen colleague, Mohamud, saying they had lost a hero, Somalia's RBC Radio reported.
