A delegation from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development met with Djibouti's Minister of Culture and Communication Abdi Houssein Ahmed to discuss efforts to attract foreign direct investment to the country, Djibouti's La Nation reported on Thursday (February 9th).
Ahmed discussed government efforts to boost the arts, in particular a joint project with the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation to build a national museum and library.
The UN delegation will survey a number of sectors, including governance, security, renewable energy projects and tourism, and will prepare a report on Djibouti's investment policies to present to potential investors, the newspaper reported.
