Somali refugees say they are facing deteriorating living conditions in camps in northeast Kenya following the withdrawal of aid agencies, Somalia's Shabelle Media Network reported on Wednesday (February 8th).
Somalia's Ambassador to Kenya Mohamed Ali Nur urged humanitarian organisations that left due to security concerns, to resume operations and help refugees who have limited access to health and other services.
Nur said he will meet with Kenyan officials to discuss ways to ensure the safety of aid workers who evacuated the camps after being targeted in various attacks in recent months.
